As we move into cooler weather,
let us remember our faith traditions in observing the Hallowtide!
We celebrate with All Hallows' Eve (October 31st) as it serves as a spiritual vigil and preparation of the feast ahead... the Church Militant. All Saint' Day (November 1st), a Holy Day of Obligation, is a time to honor all known and unknown saints and martyrs... the Church Triumphant! All Soul' Day (November 2nd) is a time to remember the faithful departed who are still being purified in purgatory... the Church Suffering. At St. Paul Chong Hasang, we will have a table of remembrance at the Narthex of our church for the next 3 weeks. All are welcome to bring small framed photographs to place on the tables. Father Brian will be leading us in prayer and lessons on how we can honor and remember our deceased loved ones. Join us on Sunday's for Lessons in Liturgy 10 minutes before Mass begins.
Above is a photo of our Youth Group Confirmandi, Youth Leaders, Leaders, and the SPROUT group that came to lead our Saturday retreat event! We are grateful for the amazing support, prayers, and leadership that helped with the Confirmation Retreat. Look for photos in the Group Me to see all the events and fun experienced. Additionally, we are grateful for the amazing chefs, Peaceable Kingdom, Deacon Al, and Fr. Bijou who came out to serve us in many ways over the weekend!
This Sunday's Youth Group we will have an opportunity to fellowship and have a little fun! Join us as we relax and enjoy each others company after a very full faith filled last few weeks!

NOVEMBER 29TH
Advent marks the official start of the new Church year! The word Advent comes from Latin and means "coming" or "arrival." For Catholics, these four weeks are a special season of waiting, preparation, and excitement. Instead of just rushing into Christmas, Advent invites us to slow down and prepare our hearts for two major things:
- The First Coming: Celebrating the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.
- The Second Coming: Looking forward to Christ’s return in glory at the end of time.
